The new ASB Theatre Marlborough, which opened on 16th March 2016, is a multi-use and purpose built venue specialising in the Live Performance and MICE markets. It is situated overlooking Blenheim’s Taylor River.

In the future, it will provide four very different venues that promoters can hire for their Live Performance Events:

The Main Auditorium is now open for business and is our Primary Venue.  It is a 700+ seat purpose built Lyric Theatre with great acoustics.  Seating is split over two levels and you have use of the Stage House and Scene Dock which comprises of our counter weight flying system with 65 line sets and dressing rooms beneath the stage area.
  2. The Anderson Theatre is due to open towards the end of 2017.  This will be our Black Box Studio Theatre and will be a very adaptable and intimate space which will accommodate a myriad of MICE events and uses – for example: breakout sessions, exhibitions, meetings and seminars.
  3. The Whitehaven Wine Room is open for business from July 2016.  This is our function and foyer extension space which can also be closed off and used for a wide range of MICE events – for example: Cocktail Functions, Dinners, Seminars (Theatre, Class Room and Banquet Style) and Trade Exhibitions.
  4. Foyer is now available for use as either part of a larger MICE Event our can be used for smaller stand-alone events like – long term exhibitions, small award presentations, cocktail functions and smaller dinners.
  5. A commercial kitchen will be installed to service all spaces. This is due to be operational by the end of March 2017.
